Minicoy Island
Minicoy Island is located in the southernmost region of Lakshadweep. Being the second largest island in the entire region, Minicoy Island has a semi-lunar shape. It is the only island in which the Mahl language is spoken and on all the other islands Malyalam is spoken. Counted amongst one of the largest lagoon in Lakshadweep, the island is ideal for tuna fishing. |

Bangaram island
Bangaram Island is the major tourist attraction of Lakshadweep, a Union Territory of India. The island is spread over the area of 2.30 sq km and is surrounded by a lagoon covered with coral reef. Although weather remains warm for most of the year, temperature reduces to 27oC in the spring season.
The island has been named among the best gateways from around the world. Travellers can enjoy adventure sports like scuba diving and snorkelling in order to explore the diverse aquatic life. |

Kadmat island
The Hussain Sagar lake is fed by River Musi and a large monolithic statue of the Gautama Buddha, erected in 1992 stands in an island in the middle of the lake. Hussain Sagar Lake forms an important part of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. |

Lighthouse
Lighthouse, also known as South Side Lighthouse, was constructed by the British in 1885. It is counted amongst the oldest lighthouses in Lakshadweep and was under the British control until India’s independence. It has a height of around 300 ft, which makes it visible even from a distance.
The Lakshadweep Islands, Arabian Sea and Virgin Islands can be seen from the top of this Lighthouse. It is surrounded by coconut groves and white sand. A commemorative postal stamp of INR1 was issued on 2nd February 1985 to mark the completion of 100 years. |

Amini beach
Amini Beach is located on the island of Amini in Lakshadweep. The eastern and western sides of the beach are covered with coral sandstone that is used for construction purposes. Tourists can enjoy swimming, reef walking and basking on this sandy beach. Water sports such as kayaking, scuba diving and surfing can also be done. Corals can be seen by sailing in glass bottomed boats.
On Amini Beach, visitors can buy souvenirs like walking sticks made with tortoise and coconut shells along with coir products. Folk songs performed by the local people are another attraction.

Kadmat island
Kadmat Islands, one of the prime tourist locations of the Lakshadweep, is situated at a distance of 10 km from Amini Island. On the eastern and western sides of the island, tourists can witness lagoons and coconut palms. Water sports such as kayaking, yachting, skiing and scuba diving can be enjoyed on the Kadmat Islands. |

Agatti Island
Agatti Island is considered the gateway to the Lakshadweep Islands, which is a chain of islands that lies about 320 km off the south-west coast of India. The most serene spot of this island is the Agatti Island Resort that offers one of the world’s best swimming beaches. Apart from the beach, the resort houses a huge and shallow lagoon and is surrounded by several coconut trees.
The island offers blue lagoons, sugary white beaches, coral reefs and swaying palms. Various water sports can be availed in this island such as snorkelling, sailing, water skiing, scuba diving, kayaking, glass bottom boat rides and deep sea fishing. |

Lagoon
Beyond the jetty in Agatti Island, there is a large lagoon with clear water. This is the place through which the boats enter the jetty. With glass bottomed boats, the lagoon can be seen with the aquatic animals such as fishes, crabs, floating reefs, etc.
The water is about 10 ft deep, but the bottom is visible through the clear waters. Boats to go into the lagoon are found in the jetty. Also, facilities of kayaking and other water based activities are available here.

Pitti island
Pitti Island is a small uninhabited island by the Agatti Island in the Lakshadweep archipelago, and is a part of the Pitti bank. Amini Island and Pitti Island are a part of the sunken atoll, which is also well known for the variety of birds. This particular island has been converted into a bird sanctuary.
