The event “How Gen Z Can Contribute to Industrialising Viksit Bharat@2047” aims to sensitise and engage young people in India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. The session will highlight the role of Gen Z in innovation, entrepreneurship, skill development, digital technology, research, sustainable development and employment generation. It will encourage students to develop an entrepreneurial and problem-solving mindset and actively participate in nation-building. The programme will inspire youth to contribute to a self-reliant, technologically advanced, sustainable and globally competitive India.

The Centre for NAM Studies, in collaboration with Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi, organised a programme on 6 October 2026 on the theme “How Can Gen Z Contribute to Industrialising Viksit Bharat@2047?” The programme was graced by Dr. Vinod Verma, President, Group Corporate Affairs, Aditya Birla Group, as the Chief Guest and Dr. Priti Srivastava, Former Senior Vice President, Reliance Industries, as the Distinguished Guest. The programme focused on the role of Gen Z in driving innovation, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, technological advancement, skill development and employment generation. The speakers highlighted the importance of future-ready skills, continuous learning, creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset in preparing young people for the changing industrial landscape. An interactive session enabled students to engage with the distinguished guests and discuss emerging career opportunities and the contribution of youth to India's economic development. The programme emphasised that the active participation of Gen Z can contribute significantly to building a skilled, innovative, sustainable and developed India by 2047.
