One-Day International Seminar Commemorating the 100th Birth Anniversary of Bhai Avtar Singh Ji Ragi on 10 April 2026

Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi, will host a One-Day International Seminar on the life and legacy of Bhai Avtar Singh Ji Ragi on 10 April 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Mata Sahib Kaur Auditorium.

Organised in collaboration with Nad Music Institute (USA) and the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, and by the Department of Music, the seminar marks the 100th Birth Anniversary of Bhai Avtar Singh Ji Ragi, a distinguished figure in the tradition of Sikh devotional music.

The seminar seeks to explore his significant contributions to music and spiritual culture through scholarly discussions and engagements. It will bring together academicians, practitioners, and experts to reflect upon his artistic legacy and its continued relevance.

The event highlights the college’s continued commitment to fostering academic discourse and preserving India’s rich cultural and musical heritage.
