NCWEB

The Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) is a distinctive initiative of the University of Delhi that provides part-time higher education opportunities to women residing in Delhi who are unable to pursue regular college due to personal, professional, or socio-economic constraints. The NCWEB Centre at Mata Sundri College for Women, established in 1983, upholds the institution’s vision of academic inclusivity, social upliftment, and empowerment through flexible education.

At present, the center offers undergraduate programmes in B.A. (Programme) and B.Com. (Programme), with a dedicated student strength of over 1,000 students. Classes are conducted on Sundays and during academic breaks, enabling students to manage education alongside employment, household duties, or caregiving responsibilities. The faculty includes experienced educators from both Mata Sundri College and other University-affiliated institutions, maintaining academic excellence and continuity.

The center also ensures that NCWEB students benefit from the core academic infrastructure of MSCW, such as access to the library, computer labs, reading rooms, sports, and wellness facilities, ensuring parity with regular students. Students are also encouraged to engage with the cultural and intellectual life of the college, contributing to a vibrant and participatory learning environment.

Over the years, the NCWEB Centre at Mata Sundri College has grown supporting women from diverse backgrounds in realizing their educational aspirations. The center continues to strengthen the college’s commitment to inclusive, quality education rooted in values of compassion, equality, and empowerment. The college takes pride in being one of the most active NCWEB centers in Delhi, and remains committed to expanding access, supporting academic growth, and nurturing future-ready women scholars.
