Timeline: 19 Jan 2017 - Ongoing

On 14th February 2017, the Department of History organized a special session where students who had earlier attended a workshop at INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) on 19th January 2017 shared their learning and experiences with their peers.

This initiative was aimed at ensuring that the knowledge gained through such academic exposures was disseminated widely among the student community. The workshop at INTACH had covered diverse aspects of heritage, conservation, and the importance of preserving cultural traditions, with experts and resource persons addressing various themes.

During the presentation session, each of the six participating students took up one session from the workshop and explained its central ideas, discussions, and key takeaways. This not only allowed them to reflect upon their own learning but also provided their fellow History Honours students with insights into the field of heritage and conservation.

The students who presented were:

  • Anjali Ghosh

  • Shikha Khokkar

  • Vandana Gauhar

  • Priyanka Gupta

  • Tanya Sharma

  • Swati Chaudhary

Through this exercise, the department reinforced its commitment to collaborative learning, peer sharing, and exposure to practical dimensions of history beyond the classroom.
