Minority Cell

Minority Cell

The Minority Cell of Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi, is a vital support mechanism dedicated to safeguarding the rights and interests of students from minority communities, with special attention to Sikh students in keeping with the college’s foundational values. Deeply aligned with the institution’s vision of inclusivity, equality, and women’s empowerment, the Cell strives to ensure equitable access to academic, financial, and personal development opportunities. A central aim of the Minority Cell is to promote awareness about government and institutional schemes, ensuring that eligible students benefit from scholarships, fellowships, and financial assistance. The Cell also provides consistent support in navigating the application process for such aid. In addition to academic assistance through remedial coaching and mentoring, it also facilitates personality development and career counseling sessions that empower minority students to pursue their aspirations with confidence. To foster integration and belonging, the Cell organizes cultural events, community dialogues, and orientation sessions that celebrate the diversity and richness of India’s minority traditions. It strives to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus atmosphere where every student feels valued and heard. Workshops on leadership, communication skills, and career readiness are regularly held to support the holistic growth of students from marginalized backgrounds. The Minority Cell is both a resource and a refuge, committed to nurturing empowered, self-assured young women equipped to lead with grace and resilience.
