Astitva, the student society of the Department, plays a vital role in fostering leadership and overall personality development among students. Each year, the society holds elections to select four key office bearers—the President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary—through a democratic voting process. This annual election offers students a valuable opportunity to discover and cultivate their leadership abilities. The elected council members, together with other society members, actively plan and participate in a variety of inter-college and intra-college events. 

These activities are designed to encourage teamwork, enhance communication skills, and promote holistic growth beyond academics. By engaging in such events, students gain practical experience in organizing and leading initiatives, which contributes significantly to their personal and professional development. Through Astitva, the department nurtures confident, responsible individuals ready to take on future challenges with enthusiasm and competence.
