Kala
Kala, the Fine Arts Society of Mata Sundri College for Women, is a vibrant and inclusive space that celebrates creativity in its most vivid forms. Dedicated to nurturing artistic expression, Kala serves as a canvas for students to explore their imagination, experiment with mediums, and bring colour to campus life.
From detailed rangoli designs to handcrafted décor, the society plays a central role in enriching the aesthetic ambience of college events be it formal academic gatherings like national and international conferences, Orientation Day ceremonies, or the spirited festivities of departmental and cultural celebrations. Wherever there is art, there is Kala quietly transforming spaces into experiences.
The society thrives on collaboration and community. Noteworthy among its initiatives is Inktober 2024, a month-long ink drawing challenge held in association with Janki Devi Memorial College. The event brought together young artists across institutions, fostering creative exchange and mutual inspiration through daily prompts and imaginative interpretations.Kala also engages its members through regular workshops, exhibitions, and inter-college art competitions, offering a platform for artistic growth and interdisciplinary dialogue.
Whether through brushstrokes, patterns, or installations, the society cultivates a deep appreciation for visual storytelling and artistic discipline. More than just a society, Kala is the artistic heartbeat of the college a collective of creators who add meaning, beauty, and soul to every event they touch. It stands as a testimony to the transformative power of art in shaping culture, identity, and community.
