Parindey

Parindey, the Dramatics Society of Mata Sundri College for Women, is a powerhouse of creativity, expression, and social engagement. Known for its compelling storytelling and powerful performances, the society has consistently represented the college at prestigious inter-college festivals, earning accolades for both street and stage productions. Each academic year, Parindey produces two original plays—one street production and one stage play—crafted around socially resonant themes and performed with depth and passion.

For the session 2024–25, Aparadh ka J (street) and Self-Portrait (stage) were staged at over 25 institutions, including prominent Delhi University colleges, Indraprastha University campuses, and private universities. The society also curates its own flagship events: Khwabeeda, the Annual Stage Play Festival, and Hoonkaar, the Annual Street Play Showcase—both of which form the theatrical highlight of Saarang, the college’s annual cultural fest.

These events draw participation from drama societies across the University of Delhi and beyond, creating a vibrant platform for performance, dialogue, and cultural exchange. Parindey’s students have brought laurels to the college at multiple forums. Notably, Self-Portrait was selected as the opening performance at IIT Roorkee, where two members received Best Actress awards.

At Maulana Azad Medical College, the team secured second place, with an individual Best Performer recognition. Rooted in passion, powered by purpose, Parindey continues to inspire through the transformative force of theatre—fostering artistic excellence, critical consciousness, and collaborative spirit.
