Enactus

Enactus at Mata Sundri College for Women empowers students to drive social change through entrepreneurship and innovation. Guided by educators and industry experts, student teams conduct community needs assessments, design impact-oriented projects, and implement sustainable solutions, gaining invaluable real-world experience. These initiatives also help students develop practical skills in communication, research, marketing, finance, and project management.
The society leads several notable ongoing initiatives. Project Jamboard is a peer-tutoring program where student mentors help schoolchildren improve English grammar, writing, speaking, and resume-building through structured online sessions. Project Sil-sila focuses on repurposing old sarees and cloth materials into handcrafted products such as envelopes and accessories, while supporting local tailors whose livelihoods were impacted by the pandemic.
Project Ecof promotes eco-friendly alternatives to plastic straws by encouraging small vendors to adopt biodegradable options such as wheat, banana, and coconut leaf straws, contributing to environmental sustainability. The team has also conducted impactful awareness campaigns and sustainability drives. A notable initiative, the E-waste Collection Drive, established the college as a central hub for safe and responsible e-waste disposal, promoting environmental awareness among students and the community.
Another key activity was the Tide Turner Challenge, which engaged students in self-driven waste audits, reducing single-use plastics, and educating others about sustainable consumption. Enactus at Mata Sundri College fosters socially responsible leadership and entrepreneurial action. By addressing real-world issues with innovative, sustainable solutions, the society continues to create meaningful impact within and beyond the campus community.
