Peace Club
The Peace Club at Mata Sundri College for Women was established on November 10, 2022, in collaboration with the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP) — a globally recognized NGO holding consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
Aligned with the mission of advancing world peace, IAYSP empowers youth to become global citizens through character education, intercultural dialogue, and peacebuilding initiatives that support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). IAYSP is a partner organization of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), an international network of individuals and institutions with general consultative status at the UN ECOSOC, dedicated to fostering a just and sustainable global society through principles of mutual respect, cooperation, and harmony.
As part of IAYSP’s global School, University, and College Peace Club Initiative, the Peace Club at Mata Sundri College aspires to cultivate a generation of thoughtful, empathetic, and action-oriented youth. The core objective is to introduce students to the Principles of Peace, encouraging them to embrace values of non-violence, cooperation, and global solidarity.
Beyond dialogue, the Peace Club offers students opportunities to engage in skill-building workshops, personality development programs, leadership training, and extracurricular activities — all under the mentorship of a dynamic student-led team. By creating a platform for reflection, collaboration, and social engagement, the Peace Club envisions a campus community that contributes meaningfully to a more peaceful and interconnected world.
