Polimates is the student body of the Department of Political Science, actively engaging students throughout the year in a variety of academic and cultural activities. The society maintains an active presence on Facebook and organizes events such as debates, mock parliaments, group discussions, spoofs, and Damsharads, all under the guidance and encouragement of faculty members.

The student council, comprising a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary, is elected annually through a democratic process. In 2017, the department introduced a formal election procedure involving candidate presentations and secret ballots, providing students with valuable experience in democratic participation and leadership.

To recognize consistent excellence, Polimates honors outstanding students with certificates and trophies during events like the Young Achievers Award Ceremony. Through its diverse initiatives, Polimates fosters leadership, critical thinking, and active engagement with political discourse, enriching students’ academic and personal growth.
