On February 21, 2024, Meraki – The Literary Society of the Department of English, Mata Sundri College for Women, organized its annual inter-college festival, Bookmarked ’24. Centered on the theme “Multilingualism in India,” the fest featured a series of engaging and competitive events that celebrated linguistic diversity and literary expression. With active participation from over 20 colleges and institutes across Delhi, the festival provided a vibrant platform for creativity, critical thought, and cultural exchange.

Event Report

Meraki, the Literary Society of the English department, organized its annual inter-college festival, Bookmarked '24, on February 21, 2024. The fest's theme was 'Multilingualism in India'. The event received active participation from more than 20 colleges and institutes across Delhi. The festival began with the launch of the 12th issue of Verbos Incendium, the English department's magazine. This was followed by a panel discussion on 'Indian Writing and Translation: Diverse Languages and Cultural Histories'. The festival also included competitive events such as: Scribble - The Creative Writing Competition Spell Bee Metamorphosis - Book Jacket Designing Open Mic The event was considered a great success, with a gathering of more than 1000 students and staff
