The Department of Sanskrit and GyanVardhini Sabha, under the aegis of Mata Sundri College for Women and with the inspiration of Principal Prof. Harpreet Kaur, organized a Career Counselling Session on “Employment Opportunities from Sanskrit” on 16th March 2023 at 5:00 pm.
The session was conducted virtually by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Mishra, Co-Spokesperson, Department of Sanskrit, St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. Dr. Mishra highlighted the diverse career avenues available through Sanskrit studies, ranging from academia and research to publishing, translation, cultural preservation, and beyond. The talk provided students with valuable guidance on how Sanskrit can serve as a strong foundation for professional growth and meaningful contributions to society.
Event Report
An interactive career counseling session titled "Employment Opportunities from Sanskrit" was organized by the Sanskrit Department and Gyan Vardhini Sabha of Mata Sundri College on March 16, 2023. The session was held on a virtual platform and featured Dr. Pankaj Kumar Mishra from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University, as the main speaker. He informed students about various job opportunities available in fields such as news reading, editing, astrology, teaching, translation, writing, and Vastu consultancy. The event was attended by over 40 students from Mata Sundri College and 10-12 students from Jamia University.
