On September 2, 2022, Astitva – The Department of Philosophy, Mata Sundri College for Women (University of Delhi) organized an engaging session on “Learning Philosophy through Non-Conventional Methods” in Mata Gujri Hall. The event explored philosophical concepts such as sense experience, scepticism, dreams versus reality, cognition, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence.
The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Ananya Chauhan (Department Representative), followed by a screening of the film The Matrix, after which students discussed their queries and insights. The session was graced by Dr. Harpreet Kaur (Principal), Prof. Garima Mani (Head, Department of Philosophy), and guest speaker Prof. Nilanjan Bhowmik (University of Delhi), who enriched the discussion with expert perspectives.
