The Department of Mathematics at Mata Sundri College for Women celebrated Pi Day with a special screening of the inspirational film “Hidden Figures” on 14th March 2024 in the esteemed Mata Gujri Hall. The event commenced in an atmosphere of eager anticipation, bringing together students and faculty to honor the mathematical constant π while also paying tribute to the extraordinary contributions of African-American women mathematicians at NASA. The film highlighted themes of perseverance, intellect, and equality, leaving the audience both moved and inspired.
