The Department of History, Mata Sundri College for Women, under its student-led initiative Gaatha – The History Society, is organising Gaatha Lecture #7 titled “Structures of Governance: Bureaucracy and the Colonial State in India” on 9th April at 1:00 PM in Bebe Nanki Hall.

The session will be delivered by eminent historian Amar Farooqui, whose work has significantly contributed to the understanding of colonial and modern Indian history.

The lecture aims to offer critical insights into the functioning of bureaucracy under colonial rule and its impact on governance in India, fostering meaningful academic discussion among students and scholars.
