‘Sambal’, meaning support, is an initiative of the Department of Political Science aimed at assisting Hindi-medium students in the department. While the medium of teaching is bilingual, it has been observed over the years that many Hindi-medium students face certain challenges and often hesitate to express themselves during classes. To address this gap, the department organizes 4–5 sessions every semester under Sambal. The program, titled “Dasha and Disha” (Condition and Direction), provides students with the confidence, resources, and guidance they need to actively participate and perform better academically. This supportive space ensures that language does not become a barrier to learning and encourages inclusivity within the department.
