The proposed international seminar aims to examine the evolving strategic partnership between India and South Korea in the context of changing geopolitical dynamics in the Indo-Pacific region. It will explore key areas of bilateral cooperation, including trade and investment, defence and security, technological innovation, digital transformation, semiconductors, critical minerals, and maritime security. The seminar will also discuss emerging regional challenges, including great-power competition, supply-chain vulnerabilities, regional conflicts, and the need for a stable, open, and rules-based Indo-Pacific order. Particular attention will be given to the role of India and South Korea in promoting regional peace, economic resilience, and multilateral cooperation. The programme seeks to bring together scholars, policymakers, and students to exchange perspectives on strengthening bilateral relations and identifying new avenues for collaboration. It will contribute to greater awareness of India's foreign policy priorities and South Korea's growing significance as a strategic partner in the Indo-Pacific.
