The Department of Physical Education and Sports Science of Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi, in collaboration with the NSS team and NCWEB, organized a successful celebration of International Yoga Day on June 21, 2024, under the esteemed guidance of Principal Professor Harpreet Kaur.
The session emphasized the importance of yoga in fostering physical fitness, mental well-being, and holistic health. Students, faculty, and volunteers actively participated in guided yoga practices and mindfulness exercises, creating an atmosphere of positivity and balance. The celebration highlighted the role of yoga in promoting a healthy lifestyle and unity of mind and body.

The Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, in collaboration with the NSS team and NCWEB at Mata Sundri College for Women, organized a celebration of International Yoga Day on June 21, 2024. The event, which aimed to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through yoga , was attended by students, teaching, and non-teaching faculty members. Chitra Chand, a certified yoga teacher and senior researcher from the University of Patanjali, led the session. She gave an insightful introduction to the history of yoga and then guided participants through various yoga postures (asanas). Both students and teachers took part in the session.
