An interactive talk session on “Mental Health Awareness and Substance Use” was organized on 11th March 2024 at 1:30 PM in Mata Gujri Hall under the aegis of the Viksit Bharat Secretariat. The event was conducted by the Department of Statistics and the Department of Philosophy, in collaboration with ‘Aarogyam’ – A Cell for Well-being and Mental Health, an initiative of IQAC.
The session aimed to spread awareness about mental health challenges, the impact of substance use, and the importance of fostering resilience and well-being among students through informed discussions and guidance.
Event Report
An interactive talk session on "Mental Health Awareness and Substance Use" was organized by the Departments of Statistics and Philosophy in collaboration with 'AAROGYAM' on March 11, 2024. The speaker, Dr. Aman Dua, gave a comprehensive presentation on mental health and its relation to substance use. She discussed common mental health disorders, the effects of substance use on physical and mental health, and provided insights on recognizing mental health issues. The session concluded with the dissemination of informational resources and was considered a success.
