The online event was conducted via Zoom and was also live-streamed on the college's official YouTube channel. CA Jaspreet Singh Johar, who has been a professor for 18 years, commenced the session by discussing the government's decision in 2020 to allow people to choose their tax regime. He explained that the new tax regime is better for those who are disciplined with their savings, while the old tax regime offers "forced saving" through rebates, which he believes helped India survive the 2008 global economic crisis. He also provided tips on investing and saving money. The webinar included a question-and-answer session where the speaker patiently answered all the questions that came up in the chat box, including those from CA aspirants. The event was considered a "great success" due to the high response and participation.
