On September 10, 2025, the Minority Cell of Mata Sundri College for Women organized its Orientation Programme at Bebe Nanki Hall to commemorate the 350 years of martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The event was conducted under the guidance of Principal Prof. Harpreet Kaur, with Prof. Daljit Kaur as Convener and Dr. Gurvinder Kaur as Co-Convener. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Gurvinder Kaur, followed by the Principal’s address, setting an inspiring tone for the session. An orientation presentation was delivered by Ms. Nehal Verma, acquainting students with the objectives and activities of the Minority Cell. The event featured insightful talks by distinguished speakers, including Dr. Simarpreet Kaur, Adv. Mehakpreet Kaur, and Prof. Daljit Kaur, who highlighted the life and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. A quiz based on his legacy further engaged the participants and encouraged active learning. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Veenakshi Sharma and proved to be both informative and meaningful, fostering awareness and appreciation of historical and cultural values among students.
