The session will aim to sensitise students towards the needs, rights and dignity of persons with disabilities and promote an inclusive and accessible society. It will focus on disability care, accessibility, empathy, assistive support, communication, inclusion and the role of youth in creating a barrier-free environment.

Event Report

The NSS Unit “Parivartan” of Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi, in collaboration with the Kiwanis Club of New Delhi, organised “Phir Chalein Bharat – Feel the Step” during the NSS Residential Camp. The programme focused on disability awareness, accessibility, empathy, inclusion, and the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities. Through experiential activities and interaction, NSS volunteers were sensitised to the challenges faced by persons with disabilities and encouraged to understand the importance of creating a barrier-free and inclusive society. The programme also highlighted the role of youth in promoting accessibility, respect, equal participation and social responsibility, reinforcing the NSS motto “Not Me But You.”
