Event Report
An awareness session titled “Beyond the Invisible: An Awareness Session on Human Trafficking” was organised on 21 August 2026 at Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi. The session aimed to sensitise students about the realities of human trafficking, its different forms, causes, consequences and preventive measures. Ms. Heenu Singh, Operations Head, Vihaan Delhi, delivered an insightful lecture and highlighted the vulnerabilities that can lead individuals to trafficking and exploitation. She emphasised the importance of awareness, vigilance, understanding warning signs and knowing available avenues of support. The interactive session encouraged students to view human trafficking not merely as a hidden social problem but as a serious violation of human dignity and rights. The session successfully created awareness among students and reinforced the importance of collective responsibility in preventing human trafficking and protecting vulnerable individuals.
