he NSS Orientation Programme will be conducted to introduce students to the objectives, activities, and functioning of the National Service Scheme (NSS). The programme will orient students towards the various social, community, environmental, and outreach initiatives undertaken by the NSS and encourage them to actively participate in volunteer activities.

The orientation will provide students with an understanding of the role and responsibilities of an NSS volunteer, the importance of community service, and the values of social responsibility, leadership, teamwork, discipline, and responsible citizenship. Students will also be informed about the different activities planned throughout the academic year, including community outreach programmes, awareness campaigns, cleanliness drives, plantation drives, health initiatives, blood donation camps, road safety awareness programmes, and other social welfare activities.

The session will also familiarise students with the NSS Unit of Mata Sundri College for Women, its working mechanism, volunteer responsibilities, and opportunities for participation. Special emphasis will be placed on encouraging students to actively engage with the community and understand social issues beyond the classroom.

The orientation will motivate students to become responsible and socially conscious citizens and to contribute meaningfully to society through “Not Me But You”, the guiding principle of NSS.

Through this orientation, the college aims to create an informed, motivated, and committed group of NSS volunteers who can actively contribute to the social development, environmental sustainability, and community welfare initiatives of the college and the wider society.
