PEER MENTORING

Peer mentoring enriches the students through student to student interaction on various topics and issues. Helped them with new ideas, opportunities, rules and answered queries.

  • The Department of History believes that there should be a healthy and value-based relationship between the different years of undergraduate students. We in the department have always had senior students who have helped their juniors and mentored them every now and then. To formalize this effort the Department feels that we select some 3rd year History Honours students who would help and mentor their juniors.
  • The Peer Mentoring of History Honours continued in the new academic session 2021-22. The present group of Peer Mentors is Sandleen, Shubha, Afia, Shreya, Shamaila, Lipika, Nishu, Nandini under the guidance of Dr Navendu Shekhar. They have been active in providing guidance to their juniors on various issues like library, college functioning, academics and general counselling. The peer mentors had made a PPT for 1st year students which include which informed them about the importance of college ID, how to access Google chat or Google Meet etc.
