The Placement and Internship Cell of Mata Sundri College for Women plays a crucial role in providing job placement and internship opportunities to its students and organizing skill development sessions so that students learn and understand how to showcase their abilities in the best possible way. It organizes and extends services towards collaborative activities for the development of technical and soft skills in terms of career planning and goal setting.
Campus drives were conducted by recruiters from various sectors such as Software, Data Analytics, Education, Travel, Consulting, Sales & Marketing and Finance, including big brands such as Deloitte, EY, ISA Global, Knowledge Excel, PlanetSpark, and Axis Bank. Students were offered a variety of profiles this year, some of them being in- Market Research, Content, Digital and Performance Marketing, Actuarial Analysis, Graphics Designing, CA Articleship, Priority Relationship Management and Public Relations.
Inspite of the global recession, the highest CTC for the Academic Year 2022-2023 stood at 6.6 LPA offered by JARO Education and the students bagged an average package of 4 LPA with the total number of students placed standing at 129. Exceeding our previous internship trends, the highest stipend offered to the students was Rs. 20,000 per month by PhysicsWallah for this successful academic year, and more than 500 students have been selected as interns this year.
The college is also associated with the Central Placement Cell, University of Delhi. Career Guidance Training Sessions such as Profile Building for Top Universities, CV Building, Personality Development Sessions, ‘Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme’, ‘Campus to Corporate’, ‘How to prepare for IELTS, TOEFL, PTE’, ‘3 Cs to Ace Interviews’, ‘Interview Techniques and Etiquettes’ & ‘Chartered Financial Expert’ were organized in the Academic Session 2022-23.
PRAYAS - The Placement and Internship Cell of Mata Sundri College for Women, organized the "Career Symposium' 23 - Internship Fair", a 2-day event for the students of the host college as well as other colleges of Delhi NCR, on the 16th - 17th March 2023. With more than 35 companies participating offering over 60 diverse profiles, including esteemed organisations such as IDFC Bank, Ferns & Petals, Microsoft AEP 9ledgePro, Alpha1 IT Solutions, etc. More than 1100 students registered for the fair.
The Placement and Internship Cell Team is headed by Dr. Kalpana S Devi (Convenor), Ms.Ashema Hasti (Co-Convenor). The student team is headed by Vanisha Mathur (President) and Aaushika (Vice-President) and 21 other members.
The purpose of the placement cell is to guide the students to choose right career and give knowledge, skill, aptitude, and meet the manpower requirements of the industry with an aim to inculcate the concept of discipline, confidence and desire to excel in all the phases of life. It serves as an interface between the students and the recruiters. It also networks with the Central Placement Cell, University of Delhi.The placement cell also carriesout” Personality Development Workshops”.
The Industry is always on the lookout for students who are vibrant, energetic,and ready to accept challenges and are attentive, have a good academic background, are fast learners as well as those who are open to learning even at work and more importantly, possess good communication skills. The Placement & Internship Cell is a team of diligent individuals striving together towards calling the maximum possible companies to the campus for placements.
