An invited talk on “Fixed Point Theorem and its Diverse Applications” took place on the 3rd of May, 2024, under the aegis of Viksit Bharat Secretariat, MSCW. The event began with an inspiring opening speech by Fatima. Dr. Rama Verma, TIC of Mathematics Department, Ms. Gurpreet Kaur, Dr. Preeti and Dr. Ramita Sahni, Convener of the event warmly welcomed the speaker, the attending faculty members and all the students.

The Department of Mathematics, in collaboration with IQAC, organized a hands on session on March 18, 2024, focusing on the theme of data visualization and research using computer algebra systems.Dr. Jyoti Bhola, a distinguished Professor at Hansraj College, University of Delhi, with 18 years of teaching expertise, led the session, providing invaluable insights into the topic. The convener of the event was Dr. Anu Sharma (Department of Mathematics).
The Department of Mathematics at Mata Sundri College for Women orchestrated a memorable celebration on Pi Day, marked by a screening of the poignant movie "Hidden Figures" This event, held in the esteemed Mata Gujri Hall on March 14th,2024 commenced with an atmosphere of eager anticipation, drawing students and faculty together to honor the mathematical constant π and pay homage to the extraordinary achievements of African-American female mathematicians at NASA.
Asymptote, The Mathematics Department , in collaboration with IQAC, successfully hosted a guest lecture on the “Overview of Business Analytics and its Importance in Decision Making” on the 21st November, 2023 at the Mata Sahib Kaur Auditorium. The event garnered enthusiastic participation from approximately 40 students. The distinguished speaker for the occasion was Aanchal Phittela, an Assistant Professor at IILM University, GN, boasting over 5 years of teaching experience.
The Department of Mathematics in collaboration with IQAC organised Interdisciplinary Hands-On Workshop on "Creating Web Portfolio Using Google Sites" on 27 Oct,2023 at 12:30 pm to 01:30 pm in Lab 127. Ms. Ashema Hasti was the resource person for th workshop.
To guide and provide assistance to students in their career related decisions a Career Counselling Session was organised by Asymptote, Department of Mathematics in collaboration with Statistika, Department of Statistics amd Milestone: Civil Services Society. This session was held on April 24, 2023 in Lab-V.
Stat-O-Math'23 was held in Mata Sundri College for Women on April 12, 2023. Organized by the departments of Mathematics and Statistics collectively, this one day annual fest began at 10 am and was concluded at 4pm in the evening.

An inter-disciplinary lecture was conducted by the Department of Mathematics in collaboration with the IQAC and Academic Committee on January 20, 2023 at 1pm.
Department of Elementary Education in collaboration with Department of Mathematics conducted a workshop on “Vedic Maths Tricks” under School Collaboration and Outreach Program-SAHYOG. It was conducted on 12th December 2022 at Sri Guru Harkrishan Khalsa Girls Senior Secondary School. The speaker for the workshop were Dr. Ramita Sahni, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics and two students of B.Sc.(H) Mathematics (III year) Ameen Mehta and Swasti Bharadwaj. Aashi Rajput from B.Sc.(H) Mathematics (III year) also assisted in this workshop.
As a well needed acknowledgement to our Vedic legacy, the Department of Mathematics and Sanskrit in collaboration with IQAC organized an interdisciplinary workshop on Vedic Mathematics on July 19,2022. The session began at 11:30 in Mata Gujri Hall and was graced by over seventy-six participants , faculty members and co-ordinators. The two guest speakers; Prof. D.S Tiwari(Department of Sanskrit, University of Delhi) and Shri Anil Kumar Thakur (Vedic Ganit Expert) enlightened the entire session with their well-informed, well-researched discoveries.

The Department of Mathematics in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Mata Sundri College for Women (University of Delhi), organized a two day online “International Colloquium on Recent Trends in Mathematical Sciences” on November 15-16, 2021 via Zoom. The aim of the colloquium was to provide a knowledge exchange platform to researchers and academicians from across the globe for discussing ideas and recent developments in the various branches of Mathematical Sciences. The colloquium featured keynote address, plenary sessions and invited talks by distinguished speakers.

The Department organized a career counselling workshop on Actuarial Science by Mr. Charchit Agrawal, Principal Consultant, NMG Consulting, Malaysia on 18th September, 2021.The objective of the workshop was to introduce the participants to various facets of Actuarial science, new career opportunities in this field and to inspire them to explore this discipline further.

To celebrate the end of session, students of Mathematics Department organized a Finale event on 30th June, 2021. Students prepared games, and dance program. The highlight of the event was the release of the annual e-magazine of the department “Anantya: Beyond Infinity”.
Department of Mathematics and IQAC organized a skill-based counselling session on "NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR HIGHER EDUCATION" on February 6th, 2021.

Department of Mathematics organized a Talk on “Principal Component Analysis” on 12th January at 11 am through Google meet. The guest speaker for the Talk was Prof. Aparna Mehra, Mathematics Department, IIT Delhi.The objective of the talk was specifically to introduce the basic concepts of Principal Component Analysis amongst the students and to explain its use in areas of pattern recognition and signal processing.
