The NCC wing of the College is a part of the Indian Military Cadet Corps with its
headquarters in New Delhi. Our Collage is associated with 2 DGB (Delhi Girts Batallion),
Kashmere Gate, Delhi which directs the college in the training schedule and selection
of cadets at different levels of competition at National and State Levels. Our Cadets
participate in a myriad variety of activities throughout the year. They are given
basic military training in small arms, drills, first aid, home nursing, signals,
weapons training, map reading, civil defence and parachute jumping. NCC instills
a sense of nationalism in the youth and channelizes their energy in constructive
pursuits. It helps to build leadership qualities, develops strength of character
and inculcates the ideals of service in our youth. Besides, providing adventure
and excitement, NCC camps enhance cultural skills and promote a spirit of camaraderie
among youth.
Last year also, 65 Cadets completed Combined Annual Training Camp between
13th -22nd June. At the camp Yoga Day was celebrated on 21 June 2017. The
cadets participated in many competitions and won prizes. 3 cadets participated at
National Integration Camp, West Bengal and Sikkim.

Modi 'Swachhta hi Seva'. President Ram Nath Kovind launched the programme
on 15th September from Ishworiganj village in Kanpur to highlight the Swach Bharat
mission. A poster making competition was organised as a part of this campaign. The
second rally for Swachhta hi Seva campaign was held on 21st September at the NCC

Swachhata Pakhwara was celebrated from 2 -10 August 2017. During that period
many activities like, Oath Taking Ceremony, Slum Visit, Cleanliness drive (inside
& outside the Campus) were organized. The main purpose of Rally for Rivers was to
protect our rivers. NSS volunteers attended workshops on Rally for Rivers held in
Delhi on 29th August, 19th September and 22nd September. Our volunteers also participated
in rallies conducted by the NSS Unit.
S.U.O. Ratnapriya Tiwari a student of our college and part of the 2 Delhi
Girls Battalion was se
lected to be a part of Youth Exchange Programme in
December 2017. She not only represented the college, Delhi University and Delhi
State but out of a delegation of 20 NCC cadets and 2 Indian Army Officers, she was
the lone cadet from Delhi to be selected. This Indian delegation to Bangladesh has
important military, cultural and social significance and is inarguably the highest
achievement possible for a cadet during his or her 3 years of NCC training.
Ratnapriya Tiwari was also the delegation senior in a meet where other countries
were also present.
