The Tech society - Cybernauts also organised a Peer Mentorship Program on "Open Book Examination Guidelines and How to Ace It" to make the students familiar with the entire process of online examination as well as the interface of the OBE website on Friday, March 12, 2021, from 5:00 PM IST over Zoom which was attended by 400+ participants.
The program was initiated by Ms. Ananya Jaitly with the welcome speech followed by Ms. Darshpreet Kaur and Ms. Ranveer Kaur, who started with discussing the basic guidelines of OBE and making the students familiar with the entire process of the examination as well as the interface of the OBE website using a PowerPoint presentation. Post that tips and tricks related to the examination were shared along with a doubt session by Ms. Diya Garg. All the important points, links, and details regarding the open book examination were shared through a highly resourceful PowerPoint presentation. The session ended on a great note with a vote of thanks by Ms. Astha Kuhikar. The entire session was made successful and the constant technical support was provided by Ms. Pragati Rawat and Ms. Twinkle Karki. Overwhelming responses flowed through the feedback forms which marked the success of the session.
A Peer Mentorship Program was organized by the department on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 6:30 PM IST over Google Meet to provide hands-on training on how to use the two most robust applications of Google- Classroom and Meet for the first year students of the department which was attended by 60 students and lasted for 2.5 hours.
The keynote speakers were Ms. Diya Garg and Ms. Mishika Rawat for walking the students through Google Meet, and Ms. Akshita Sharma and Ms. Kanwalpreet Kaur Dhingra for Google Classroom.The speakers focused on the need and role of online teaching and learning tools for conducting online virtual classes. The highlights of the session were- how to join and host a meeting, use the audio/video and present screen option, record a meeting, join and create a class, deal with assignments and grades, work with to-do list, save and access the uploaded materials using both application (mobile) and web interface.The session was concluded by vote of thanks presented by Ms. Chakshita Gupta and the well conduct of the session was appreciated by the department.
