On March 13, 2024, the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics at Mata Sundri College for Women hosted an engaging guest speaker session featuring Professor Viraj Kumar, a distinguished figure in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and programming education in Computer Lab 5. The Conveners of the talk were Ms. Ashema Hasti (Department of Computer Science), Dr. Deepti Kaur (Department of Mathematics) and Dr. Archana Verma (Department of Statistics).

The societies of Department of Computer Science, Cybernauts, and the Department of Statistics, Statistika, in collaboration with IQAC, Mata Sundri College for Women and under the aegis of Viksit Bharat Secretariat MSCW, organized an interdisciplinary hands-on workshop on “Learning LaTeX – A tool for technical writing and presentation” on February 26, 2024. The workshop had the primary aim to introduce the participants to LaTeX, a powerful typesetting system widely used in technical writing and academic publishing.

On 13 October 2023, the Department of Computer Science society, ‘Cybernauts’ and the Department of Statistics society, ‘Statistika’ in collaboration with IQAC, Mata Sundri College for Women held an Interdisciplinary hands-on workshop on ‘Data Visualization and Presentation Tools’, focusing on the foundation for creating engaging infographics.

On 5th October 2023, a meticulously organized seminar on Generative AI was carried out with great success through the collaboration between NIIT and Prayas- the placement and internship cell of Mata Sundri College for Women. The seminar was graced by the presence of Mr. Udai Singh, an esteemed speaker who enlightened the attendees on the intriguing realm of artificial intelligence.

The event was conducted by Department of Computer Science Mata Sundri College, in collaboration with GirlScript Foundation on 20th Sept, 2023 from 01:30pm to 03:30pm in Mata Gujri Hall. On this day in 2017 Dapper Labs CTO, Dete Shirley, published ERC-721, which is the standard from which NFTs are built. In this proposal, the term Non-Fungible Token was first coined.
