The Department organized a career counselling workshop on Actuarial Science by Mr. Charchit Agrawal, Principal Consultant, NMG Consulting, Malaysia on 18th September, 2021.The objective of the workshop was to introduce the participants to various facets of Actuarial science, new career opportunities in this field and to inspire them to explore this discipline further.

The Department of English organized a workshop-cum-career counseling session titled 'How to Read a Film Like a Book' on 24th August 2021 at 4:30 pm via Zoom. The resource person for the same was Ms. Rosheena Zehra, co-founder of Shorted Films (shorted.in). Sixty participants, including faculty and students from various colleges of Delhi University, took part in the workshop.

Online Webinar-Career Based Counselling Sessions on the theme ‘Different Career Options after B.El.Ed’ on 28th June 2021 for the students of B. El. Ed. IV year and alumnae of the Department. All the speakers were the distinguished alumnae of B.El.Ed. department who discussed the career opportunities in their respective fields and the challenges involved with it.

The career counselling workshop was organized to enhance students' understanding of research and analytical skills and how to turn this skillset into a career. It was conducted by Prof. Sanjay Kumar, Professor and Co-Director of Lokniti, Research Program at Centre for the Study of Developing Society.

The placement cell of B.El.Ed. organized an online talk on Work Ethics in school on 17th March 2021 for B.El.Ed. IV year students as one of their Career Oriented counseling sessions. The objective of this workshop was to enlighten the students about Work Ethics in school. Speaker focused on how one should work in school, teachers’ behaviour with colleagues and children.

The Department of Sanskrit organized a Career Counseling Session on March 5, 2021. The topic of the session was “Employment Opportunities From Sanskrit”. The speaker of this session was Prof.Girish Chand Pant Head, Department of Sanskrit, Jamia Millia Islamia University.

On February 20, 2021, a skill-based counseling session was organized by Hindi Department and IQAC on the topic ‘Hindi- Matribhashao Mein Rozgaar Ke Avsar’.It was an online event that was also telecasted on youtube.

An interactive life skills session was held online on Zoom platform, with renowned Clinical Psychologist Prof Aruna Broota. The session was attended by now only the students and faculty members of Mata Sundri College but also academicians and students across various colleges of University of Delhi. 500 students and faculty across Delhi participated. It was also Live on YouTube and was joined by a large number of people . Prof. Broota's extremely engaging session focused on imparting life skills to participants that would help them in navigating their life in an effective and productive manner.

A skill base Counselling Session in Role of Urdu Language in Education was organised on 4 February 2021 at 04:00 pm via Zoom Platform. The main aim of this Counselling session was to help the students in solving issues related to Urdu language education .

Seminar on Open Book Examination evaluation Modalities was held by Department of Economics in collaboration with IQAC on 26th June,2021. Teachers across colleges participated in the seminar where the speaker guided them regarding the online evaluation process.

The department of philosophy (Astitva) organised an interactive counselling session on the topic “Dilemma of the transitioning phase” on 10th October,2020. The speaker was “Ms. Anussuya Krishnan” an NCERT-Certified Counsellor who has been working with Students, Parents and Teachers for the last 5 years on personal-social (behavioural), academic and career issues.

For guiding the third year students so that they are prepared to face career challenges, a career counselling session was organised in September 2020. The talk titled “Fine Print: Navigating in the World of Publishing and Print Journalism” was given by journalist-writer, Ms. Sanhati Banerjee.

Department organised a workshop by the ‘Books for All’ initiative by Guzarish, a Delhi-based NGO for B.El.Ed. III & IV year students was held on February 27th , 2019. The session aimed at giving exposure to mission, vision of the organization and then provided them various options about placement and internship with them. Another workshop by ‘Safe Campus’ initiative by a Delhi-based NGO was held on March 11, 2019 for B.El.Ed. IV year students. They oriented our students about the placement opportunities with the organization.
2016-17
B.El.Ed. Placement cell actively organized different sessions for career counseling and orientations of final year students for higher education partnering with institutions like Bharat National Public Public School, Delhi and Ambedkar University, Delhi.
