Under the mentorship Dr. Charanjeet Kaur, workshop on yoga and healthy food habits was organised by Department of Elementary Education on 13th January 2023 in College Judo Hall. The purpose of the workshop was to educate students about balanced diet is helpful in creating balance between mind, body and soul, along with good nutrition and yoga routine. The event was very incumbent for the learning of the students.

Department of Physical Education with Department of Punjabi in collaboration with The Library Progression Committee organised a lecture on The Traditional Games of Punjab and Scope of Research. The speakers of the event were Dr. Veenakshi Sharma (Department of Punjabi), Dr. Charanjeet Kaur (Department of Physical Education) and Prof. Pooja Wadhawan (Department of Psychology). The purpose of this lecture was to raise awareness about the developmental benefits of play.

On the International Day of Yoga, the Department of Physical Education in collaboration with Parivartan (The NSS Unit), sshakt (The NCC Unit) and Gandhi Study Circle conducted a 1-hour session for all staff and students on 21-06-2022 in collaboration with NCC, NSS and Gandhi Study Circle. The theme of the session was “Yoga for Humanity”. The session was conducted by Mr. Ajay Kumar Sonkar, the yoga expert.

The Orientation program for the newly admitted students (batch 2021-2022) was organised by the Sports Department of the college on 03 December,2021. Students were formally welcomed and introduced to the sports department by the host Miss. Sakshi Singh. Starting with the college establishment, the freshers were introduced to the vision of the college. This was followed by the introduction to the sports activities that have been taking place.

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of hockey player Major Dhyan Chand i.e. 29th of August, National Sports day is celebrated.To celebrate his glory, the Sports Department of the Mata Sundri College organized a Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 . Fit India Movement was launched on 29th August, 2019 by the Honorable Prime Minister with a view to make fitness an integral part of our daily lives.

Recognizing the important role of Yoga, on the International Day of Yoga the Department of Physical Education conducted a 1-hour session for all staff and students on “Restorative Yoga for well-being” on 21-06-2021. This session was conducted by Miss. Arpita Gupta, the yoga expert,culfit.

A Short Term Online Certificate Course on Holistic Fitness and Wellness Learning was jointly organised by the IQAC and the Department of Physical Education of Mata Sundri College for Women (University of Delhi) and Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College (University of Delhi). The honourable Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Kaur- Principal, Mata Sundri College for Women and Prof. (Dr.) Gurmohinder Singh- Principal, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College were the patrons of this course.

On the occasion of Women’s day i.e. on 8 March 2021, the Department of Physical Education organized a dance and aerobic session. The session was held for all the females - teaching, non-teaching staff, and students. It was held both virtually and on-campus. The objective of the program was to rejuvenate the hardworking females of the college.

Department of physical education along with the department of psychology and philosophy, conducted a workshop on “WOMEN ACHIEVERS- creating history, nourishing present and building future” On 3rd- 5th Nov 2020, in collaboration with IQAC. Dr. Kiran Bedi (Lt. Governor of Puducherry), Ms. Shailaja Chandra first women Chief Secretary of Delhi), Ms. Preeti Tanwar (CEO Hi Ed Success, USA), Dr. Pooja Hazari (Scientist, Joint Director DRDO) and Ms. Manu Bhaker (Olympian) were the honourable Speakers for this event.
