Informal meets to create a bond between the juniors and seniors and also celebrate various occasions such as Statistics Day, Women’s day etc.

The Department of Statistics organised "Asombrosa '21 Virtual Fresher’s" on 25 January, 2021. The senior students of the Statistics department welcomed their juniors with utmost excitement and energy.

To celebrate diverse forms of a woman, the students of Statistics Department of Mata Sundri College for Women celebrated Women's day on March 8, 2021. We have Ms. Deeksha Malik, who is a data science director at Pomello Fashion; Mansi Jaiswal, alumni of Statistics Department. Topper of University of Delhi, Batch of 2020 of B.Sc. Statistics Honours and Ms. Shutapa Paul, who is an anchor, commenter author and media entrepreneur who was awarded “Women of the Year in Media and Journalism” by Women Times in February 2019.

On October 8’20, the department organized first-ever virtual webinar on 'Data Science - Revolutionizing Business Decisions' by Ms. Nitika Malhotra, a Data Science Manager, Ministry of Health, Singapore. The students from numerous courses and colleges attended the webinar. It was an enriching experience for the students.

On the occasion of World Statistics Day, which was celebrated on 20 October 2020, the department organized a virtual event to celebrate this year’s theme “Connecting the world with data we trust”. The programme included competitions, namely, 'Fusionistics' -The Art competition and 'Lights, Camera, Present' - The PowerPoint presentation competition and many more.
