Major Activities

On the initiative of the Department of Economics, groups of students attended various seminars and meets in the academic year 2017-18. These include:

• Economics students attended 'Neem Schools for Value Education, White Swan Consulting Group and WCG Foundation at IIT Delhi, New Delhi on 28 October.
• On 8th November students attended 'CII Delhi Higher Education Summit' at Silver Oak Hall, India HabitatCentre.
• Students also attended 'Chai Pe Banking with a Special Focus on Startups'at Hotel Leela Palace on 31st January
• "Demonetisation and GST: Emerging Issues in Indian Economy" organised by Department of Economics, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (University of Delhi) at India International Centre on 2 February.
• Deevleena Dey presented a paper titled 'Tossing the Bitcoin: Implications for the Indian Economy' at the 'National Young Economists Conclave' 2018 organised by Department of Economics, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College (University of Delhi) on 15th March.
