Government Policies and Schemes in Schools

Dr. Shweta Tanwar, Assistant Professor at the Department of Elementary Education, Mata Sundri College for Women, organized an alumni interaction on "Government Policies and Schemes in Schools" for the first-year students on January 12, 2023, at noon. It was under the 1st year practicum, School Contact Programme. Ms. Jasleen Kaur graced the occasion as the speaker and gave some insights about the B.El.Ed. course.

School Class as a social system

An online session on the topic "School class as a social system" was organised by Dr Shweta Tanwar, Assistant Professor at the Department of Elementary Education, Mata Sundri College for Women, University of Delhi, via Google Meet on January 5, 2023, from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm. Ms Simran Kalra, alumni of Mata Sundri College and currently working as a primary teacher at Mount Abu Public School, was the guest speaker for this session..

ALUMNAE MEET 2021

The Department of Elementary Education , Mata Sundri College for Women (University of Delhi) organized the annual Alumnae Meet on June 24, 2021. Amidst the covid situation, it was a virtual meet via Facebook Live and Google Meet. Alumnae of Bachelors of Elementary Education became a part of the online event.

Movie-Making Workshop

Ms. Isha Attri (Assistant Teacher, SKV Delhi) and Ms. Nisha Bhardwaj (Video Developer & Students of M.A. English) introduced students with various forms of short movies and videos.

ALUMNI INTERACTION SERIES-I

Interaction with Ms. Divya Sehgal (Assistant Teacher Primary from Bharat National Public School, Delhi), Ms. Bhawna (Assistant Teacher Primary from Sarvodaya kanya Vidyalaya, Delhi), Ms. Yashika Goyal (Assistant Teacher Primary from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Orissa).

MOVIE MAKING WORKSHOP

Workshop on ‘Movie Making : Creating Pedagogical Resource’ for B.El.Ed. III year students was organised on 1st March, 2019 as a part of Alumnae Interaction Series. Ms. Shiwani Maan (alumna 2017 batch) was the resource person for this workshop.

WORKSHOP ON "FORMS OF STORYTELLING"

Workshop titled ‘Forms of Storytelling’ was conducted on September 22, 2018 for B.El.Ed. II years students as a part of Alumnae Interaction Series. Ms. Rinki Devi (alumna 2017 batch) supported by two IV year students Ms. Anjali Sharma and Ms. Ridhi Mendiratta were the resource persons for this workshop.

"NARRATIVES: AS PEDAGOGICAL RESOURCE"

Talk titled "Narratives: As Pedagogical Resource" (part 1of the series on narratives) conducted on August 1, 2018 for students of B.El.Ed. III and IV year and the performance titled “Narrative of Magicians as Performance” (part 2 of the series) was conducted on September 8, 2018.

MOVIE MAKING WORKSHOP BY MS. SHIWANI MAAN

A workshop on the theme “Movie Making: Creating Pedagogical Resources” was organized for B.El.Ed. III year students on January 04, 2018, as a part of their Material Development & Evaluation practicum, at Department of Elementary Education of Mata Sundri College for women.

ALUMNAE MEET (2017-18)

Department of Elementary Education of Mata Sundri College for Women organized its Alumnae Meet 2017-18 on November 21, 2017 at Mata Gujri Hall, which was attended by the faculty, alumnae of the department as well as the teachers who had previously worked at the department.

TALK ON "EXPLORING THE FACETS OF THE CURRICULUM"

On 19th September 2017, Department of Elementary Education invited Ms. Sandhya for the talk at the Department of Elementary Education. The speaker for the session, Ms. Sandhya is a B.El.Ed. graduate from the first batch of Department of Elementary Education from Mata Sundri College and has worked as curriculum developer and currently working on an app on Teacher Education under the aegis of MHRD.

On March 10, 2017 Department of Elementary Education invited Ms. Rajni for the talk. The speaker is a Doctoral Research Scholar at Central Institute of Education, University of Delhi. She interacted with B.El.Ed. II year students and discussed various aspects related to literature. She began the session by narrating a story which left the audience spell bound and completely mesmerized.

SESSION ON "Exploring Stories and Stories Boards"

On March 04, 2017 Department of Elementary Education invited Ms. Priya Garg for an interactive session. The speaker is currently the President, B.El.Ed. Alumnae Association and has worked as a Curriculum Developer and Hindi subject expert at various institutions. She interacted with B.El.Ed.

SESSION ON "Work and Career Opportunities"

On February 22, 2017 Department of Elementary Education invited Ms. Shabih Riaz (Secretary, B.El.Ed. Alumnae Association) for an interactive and guidance session. She interacted with the current IV year students and guided them to an array of fields that they can opt for after their graduation.

B.El.Ed. ALUMNAE MEET(2016-17)

On 15th November 2016, the department organized its First Alumnae Meet at Mata Sahib Kaur Auditorium. Out of 300 graduates, around 130 alumnae registered themselves online and as many as 80 alumnae could come for the meet. Dr. Satnam Kaur, Former Principal of the college, Dr. Kawarjit Kaur, Principal of the college and Mr. Maan Singh, Administrative Officer of the college were invited as chief guests for the occasion.
