TALK ON GENDER SENSITIZATION & SOCIALIZATION BY Dr. Ruchika Varma

Dr. Ruchika Varma is a proud alumnus of Mata Sundri College who presented a talk on “Gender Sensitization and Socialization” on 30 October 2019. Dr. Varma is a proud alumnus of our college who graduated as the Delhi University topper in 1996. She completed her postgraduate and PhD from Allahabad University in 1998 and 2008 respectively. She conducted many research studies and projects regarding Gender Sensitization and Socialization.

ONE WEEK CAMPAIGN : KINDNESS IS CONTAGIOUS

Keeping in mind the need for awareness about suicide prevention and mental health in general, the Department of Psychology organized a one week long campaign, Kindness is Contagious, and it stemmed from a simple belief that every person has their own set of struggles and problems that they have to deal with.


2018 - 2019

FIELD VISIT TO SURAJKUND

Field Visit to Surajkund: Students of BA(Hons.) III rd year (2018) were taken to Surajkund Crafts Exhibition as a part of the Community Psychology Practicum. This enabled them to interact with craftsmen from various states across the country and thereby enrich their understanding of the subject matter.

NATIONAL CONFERENCE

"Perspectives of Successful Ageing"

A national conference was organised on 23 and 24 September 2016 on "Perspectives of Successful Ageing" in collaboration with Indian Association of Positive Psychology to bring awareness that being old is a great challenge in this changing world. The conference stressed the need to enlighten society regarding the enactment of the act and its application.
