As part of the innovative visit program, an online interaction with Eklavya Foundation was planned for the students of B. El. Ed. III year. Students got to know the history of the organization, its philosophy, previous as well as present programmes. They were familiarised with the need for a gender sensitive classroom; role of literature in learning; the need to contextualise in storytelling; integration of learning with different pedagogical domains as well as art education; and an understanding of peace, conflict and need for dialogues as a way forward in different sessions.

Session by Umang Foundation was organised by the department for B.EL.Ed. III year students on 10th March, 2021. It was conducted by Mr. Vivek Malik, Pramod Kamble & Umang Team. Students were introduced to the idea and philosophy behind the foundation of UMANG: A Democratic School, as an alternative to mainstream education.

Due to the pandemic, visiting the places of innovative school practices was not possible physically this year. Hence, the Department of Elementary Education organised six interactive sessions for B.E.Ed. III year students between 16th to 27th February 2021. Students were introduced to Eklavya Foundation, having over four decades of work experience in both formal and non-formal sectors of education.

Department of Elementary Education organised another session on innovative practices by Tinkering Labs titled as “Introduction to Natural Learning” for B.EL.ED. III year students on 3rd February, 2021 conducted by Mr. Pramod Maithil (Founder, Tinkering Lab, Prakriti Initiatives). Students were introduced to the Natural Learning Model which focuses on the basis that learning is a by-product of comprehensive exposure; children should make mistakes and learn on their own.

Visit to Innovative schools at Digantar (Jaipur) was organised for B.El.Ed. 3rd year students as part of their essential Practicums namely ‘Material Development Evaluation’ and ‘Classroom Management’ from 13th Jan to 18th January, 2020. The main objective of the visit was to explore an innovative/ alternative school in a holistic sense.

The innovative school visit to Digantar, Jaipur was organised by the Department for B.El.Ed. III year students from 24-29 September 2018. The visiting group comprised of 47 students and 5 faculty members from the Department. Through the field engagement, the III year students got an opportunity to understand the practice of innovation in Digantar schools and school-community collaboration.

A visit to innovative schools at Digantar, Jaipur was organised by the Department of Elementary Education for B. El. Ed. III year students between October 09-14, 2017. The visiting group comprised of 45 students and 4 faculty members from the Department. Students explored several aspects of Digantar's schools on visit; like, pedagogical practices, teacher-student relationship, school-community collaboration and specific school practices- cleanliness activity carried out by students and teachers; bal sabha and bal panchayat.

The Department of Elementary Education organized an innovative visit to Digantar, Jaipur for B.El.Ed III year students as a part of their compulsory practicum from 3rd to 7th October, 2016. The visiting group comprised of 53 students and 4 faculty members from the Department of Elementary Education. The purpose of the visit was to closely observe and understand the classroom practices of an innovative school.
