An online Orientation was organized to welcome and familiarize the new 1st year students with the Department of Political Science on 22nd November 2021. The orientation was attended by all the teachers of the department along with the new students to guide them about the Department and various activities organized by the Department.

The topic of the session was “Realism and Neorealism”. It was an interactive session in which students participated enthusiastically. They presented their learnings and views on the basic assumption of realist theories and their importance in explaining international relation. Subsequently, teacher coordinator also discussed her views and gave comparative analysis of both theories.

An outreach program aims to help and support the deprived sections of the society. Moving forward with this purpose the Department of Political Science, Mata Sundri College for Women has signed a MOU with Gavaksh – Window to Happiness as part of the Outreach program initiated to provide our students with a platform to engage and connect with the community with the aim of contributing to the society.

The career counselling workshop was organized to enhance students' understanding of research and analytical skills and how to turn this skillset into a career. It was conducted by Prof. Sanjay Kumar, Professor and Co-Director of Lokniti, Research Program at Centre for the Study of Developing Society.

The Dept. of Political Science organized a one-day inter-departmental fest “Artocracy: The Confluence of Art and Democracy." The focused on the relationship between Art and Democracy. Arts in general and theatre in particular can strengthen Democracy by way of creative participation in the affairs of society and state.

The Dept. of Political Science in association with Praja Foundation and PRS- Legislative Research organized a webinar on Parliament in Democracy & Role of an individual Parliamentarian on 19th Nov. 2020. The objective of this webinar was to highlight the role of Parliament in a democracy.

A 30 hour online short term course was organized by the Department of Political Science and IQAC, Mata Sundri College for Women, Delhi University in collaboration with Forum for Democracy from 1st November,2020 to 13th November,2020. The course was enrolled by 98 students and 77 students successfully completed the course. The course was holistically designed for undergraduate students.

The Department of Political Science and IQAC, Mata Sundri College for Women, Delhi University in collaboration with Divah Sprik Law Notes from 16th October- 13th November course encompassed 15 sessions conducted by legal experts and luminaries. This course was specifically designed for undergraduates’ students who are not involved in the course of law.
