The Department of Political Science had organized a webinar on the subject - Chinese Foreign Policy Towards India on 24th July 2020. The webinar was conducted by Mr. Anuar Baltabayev, Kazakh University. As two major Asian countries India and China represent complex, dynamic strategic importance at the global level.

2020 has been an unprecedented year for mankind. COVID – 19 impacted each society and country, irrespective of colour, caste, gender, race. It tested the viability of public institutions across the world. India being no exception. The Dept. of Political Science in collaboration with the IQAC organized a webinar on the impact of covid and public policy response towards it.

The Department of Political Science organised an Online Safety Workshop for Women in association with IAMAI and Facebook Inititative on 26th April, 2020. The webinar was conducted by Mr. Rakshit Tandon, a Cyber Security Expert and Consultant at IAMAI. Mr. Tandon specifically focused on the areas concerned with cyber security.

The Department of Political Science had organized a one-day inter-college fest. It consisted of 3 events namely, debate competition, quiz competition and poster making competition. The fest was organized on the theme of ‘Celebrating 71 years of Indian Republic’.

A talk on “Understanding Women’s Rights in India: Laws and Institutions by Ms. Swati Maliwal had organized an workshop – (Chairperson Delhi Commission for Women) and Mr. Sandeep Banga (Advocate, Delhi High Court). The Department interactive session with above esteemed speakers on the issue of women’s rights and safety.

The Department organized a visit to the Parliament for its final year students in order to give them a first-hand experience of our esteem law-making and law-enforcing agency.

In association with the Praja Foundation, a non-governmental organization working in the field of civic issues, the department organized a workshop on urban local governance. The workshop aimed to help students develop a perspective on issues of local governance and gain knowledge about the functioning of the government and its institutions in their immediate context.

The Department of Political Science along with Josh Talks in association with Vivel, organised a workshop on 'Know your rights' on 10.1.19.The workshop made the students aware about their identities, legal rights as well as the meaning of harrasment and how to counter it.
